Water resources to be improved

KRISHNAGIRI: The district administration will take appropriate measures to improve the water resources in Salamarathupatti, Onnagarai, Podar, Pallashoolagarai and surrounding villages in Uthangarai taluk, Collector V. Arun Roy said recently.

Presiding over the mass contact programme at Pallamarathupatti village, Mr. Roy said that as per the demand of the villagers, the administration will take up the issue with the officials of the concerned departments to bring excess water to the panchayat lakes.

Steps will also be taken to repair the damaged roads in the villages. Mass contact programmes are organised in the villages every month to reach out to the people at their doorsteps.

Officials from various departments attend the programmes so as to redress the grievances of the people as early as possible.
