PUDUCHERRY: As many as 12 candidates who took up the recent examination for the post of deputy tahsildars have submitted a memorandum to Collector G. Ragesh Chandra, who was the controller for the examination, seeking his intervention in rectifying certain anomalies in the question papers. In a signed letter sent to the Collector, the candidates have pointed out that several questions in paper I and II were erroneous. In a few objective type questions, options given for answers were confusing, the letter said. They have urged the Collector to remove such questions before publishing the merit list. When contacted, the Collector told The Hindu that the issue had just been brought to his knowledge and it would be looked into.
