NEW DELHI: The police are carrying out enquiries in neighbouring Gurgaon and other parts of the National Capital Region for clues to the abduction and gang-rape of a young woman in Dhaula Kuan here this past week. However, they have not made any breakthrough so far. Sketches of two of the suspects have been released by the police, seeking help from the public in their identification. They are also trying to develop sketches of two more suspects based on the information provided by the victim and her colleague. Several persons have been questioned in Mangolpuri and other parts of the Capital in the past few days, but the identities of the culprits are yet to be established. “There are several leads that are being developed. We are expecting a breakthrough soon,” said a senior police officer. The incident took place in the early hours of November 24 when the 30-year-old victim was dropped along with a woman colleague by her office cab on Ring Road. Disappointed over the delay in the arrest of the culprits, Madhu Chandra, spokesperson of the North East Support Centre and Helpline, said they would hold a silent protest at Jantar Mantar this Monday.
