Gaddar to lead TPF rally on Dec. 9
Special Correspondent
HYDERABAD: The Telangana Praja Front (TPF) led by balladeer Gaddar will organise a rally at Nizam College grounds here on December 9 to coincide with completion of one year since Union Home Minister P. Chidambaram announced commencement of process to form Telangana State.
Mr. Gaddar told a press conference on Monday that the occasion would be dedicated to the sacrifices of youth who gave up their lives for separate Telangana in the last one year.
The programme would include performances by artistes and speeches.
He said the TPF would declare on that day the form of agitation it proposed to launch in a bid to achieve Statehood to Telangana.
It would be a non-cooperation movement aimed to inconvenience MPs and MLAs. For instance, their lower-level staff who performed petty jobs like cooking, sweeping, washing clothes and driving vehicles would be asked to stop work.
Mr. Gaddar also said the TPF was not in competition with the Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS), which would also observe the event on that day at Warangal.
