KOCHI: Three persons were arrested in two different incidents by the City Police for sale of narcotic drugs. Two of them were arrested with 52 ampoules of narcotic drugs in their possession. Lijo, 31, of Munneli Veedu, and Denny, 36, of Vazhappally Veedu, Chunangamveli, Aluva, were arrested as part of the intensified drive against sale of narcotic drugs in the city. The police have initiated a probe into the source from where the accused got hold of the drug. The Ernakulam Town South Police arrested Narayana Pai, 34, near Ravipuram cemetery on Monday. The police team led by V.G. Raveendranath, Circle Inspector and A. Faizal, sub-inspector, also confiscated 520 gm of ganja from his possession. He was selling the stuff in packets of 35 gms for a price of Rs. 500 each. His clientele were mostly college students. During investigation, it was found that he had been sourcing the stuff from Idukki. Leads have been secured about the person who brought in the stuff from Idukki and supplied it to the accused.
