Threat calls to MLA Shankar Rao, case registered

HYDERABAD: The Musheerabad police on Tuesday registered a criminal case following a complaint made by Secunderabad Cantonment MLA, Shankar Rao, stating that unidentified persons made phone calls threatening to kill him.

The calls were made to his mobile phone twice on Monday afternoon.

Petition filed

A petition was filed in local court seeking permission to register a case since the complaint was non-cognizable nature and case was registered, the Musheerabad Inspector, P. Venkat Ramana, said.
