NEW DELHI: The Army has decided to grant permanent commission to 12 women officers in the Education and Judge Advocate-General branches, Army sources said here on Tuesday.
The decision came after the selection board met during the second week of November, the sources said. These officers were among the group which had sought a direction from the Delhi High Court. It had come in March.
Later in August, the government said in the Supreme Court that it would consider granting the permanent commission.
