WARANGAL: In a tragic road accident five of family were killed in the wee hours of Wednesday near Pembarthi village in Jangaon division. According to information reaching here, Gyas Ahmed Qureshi (45) and his family belonging to Sultan Shahi area near Charminar in Hyderabad came to Kazipet to attend a dinner party. They came with other relatives in four cars. They were returning to Hyderabad shortly after midnight. The car plunged into an open agricultural well while negotiating a turning around 3.30 a.m. in Pembarthi village killing all the inmates but one boy, Gyas Nayeem Qureshi (14), who clung to a dangling tree. The car skid off the road about 100 metres and directly fell into a well in the agricultural field. Those killed on the spot are: Gyas Ahmed Qureshi (45), Firdous Qureshi(40), Alisha Fathima (04), Sabiya Fathima (12) and Abdul Nayeem Qureshi (18). The tragic incident came to light late in the day when a dog hinted its master who runs a roadside hotel near the accident spot. He alerted the villagers who in turn informed the police. The lone surviving boy was found hanging from a tree branch inside the well and crying inconsolably. Rescue boy Police rescued him and efforts were on to pump out the water to retrieve the bodies.
