APCPDCL to get international award

HYDERABAD: The Andhra Pradesh Central Power Distribution Company Ltd (APCPDCL) has qualified for the finalists of the International Stockholm Challenge Award-2010, under the economic development category, for its project entitled ‘information and communication technology-enabled customer service in electricity distribution' and the project that uses ICT to improve the socio-economic conditions of people and their environment.
It has been chosen for bringing automation of entire process of releasing new power supply connections, grievances and billing which was started with the main objective as integration of new services released, meter reading, billing, collection and consumer redressal. M.T. Krishna Babu, APCPDCL Chairman, congratulated the IT Department and the employees for the achievement.
