HYDERABAD: After technical glitches, it was the turn of power failure to disrupt learning and permanent driving license tests at the Uppal Regional Transport Office on Wednesday.
Due to the power failure, authorities put up ‘Today power failure. Please bear with the inconvenience' notice board at the entrance of the office.
There was a snag in the electrical wiring, which supplies power to the computer systems. Due to irregular supply, couple of computers were damaged and authorities had to stop services for some time. After a few hours, the problem was fixed and all transactions, including driving licence tests, issue of fitness certificates etc were resumed , said Deputy Transport Commissioner Ramesh.
Driving licence applicants, who could not take their tests on Wednesday, would be provided an opportunity to take their tests on Thursday, he said.
