ECoR, NER bag two golds each

KOLKATA: East Coast and North Eastern Railways bagged two gold medals each in the 58 {+t} {+h} all-India inter-Railway weightlifting championship at the Netaji Subash Institute here on Thursday.

South Eastern, Western, Eastern Railways picked up a gold medal each.

The results: Men: 56 kg: 1. E. Mahadevan (ER) 222 kg, 2. Ganana Shekar (WR) 218, 3. P. Ramesh Kumar (SER) 213. 62 kg: 1. Omkar Otari (WR) 260, 2. Gourav Seth (ER) 240, 3. G. Anbarasu (ICF) 222. 69 kg: Nakula Sahu (ECoR) 227, 2. S. Sakthi Murugan (WR) 219, 3. Parthiban (SR) 210. 77 kg: 1. K.C. Sahu (ECoR) 213, 2. Arumugam (SR) 212, 3. A.J. Lutharaj (WR) 188. 85 kg: 1. Ashim Biswas (ER) 197, 2. V. Sridhar (ECoR) 189, 3. M.J. Karuna Kumar (WR) 178.

Women: 58 kg: 1. Swati Singh (NER) 145 kg, 2. Minati Sethi (ER) 105. Over 75 kg: 1. Shristi Singh (NER) 140, 2. Amrita Rajashree (ER) 110 .
