Stress on coordinated efforts to tackle flood

VILLUPURAM: Collector R. Palanisamy has directed officials of the Revenue, Highways, PWD and other departments to act in a coordination to tackle the flood situation in Villupuram district.

Addressing a review meeting on Thursday, he said that it must be the endeavour of officials to mitigate the sufferings of people in flood-affected areas.

Wherever needed, they should initiate corrective measures, at least on a temporary basis. Mr. Palanisamy urged the officials to keep him informed of latest information on flood situation to take concerted action.
