Night running of trains to be regulated

Will affect trains running from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. till Dec. 9

VISAKHAPATNAM: East Coast Railway will divert, regulateand reschedule some of its trains for security reasons, and continue to suspend running of passenger trains on Kharagpur-Rourkela and Kharagpur-Adra sections at night from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. till December 9. Some trains have been diverted, re-scheduled and regulated, according to a press release from the ECoR. Those diverted included: train Nos. 8477/8478 Puri-Haridwar-Puri Utkal Express, continue to run via Jharsuguda-Sambalpur-Cuttack and vice versa instead of Jharsuguda-Tata-Kharagpur

-Cuttack. The 8005/8006 Howrah-Koraput-Howrah Express will run via Howrah-Kharagpur-Bhadrak-Angul-Sambalpur and vice versa instead of Howrah-Kharagpur-Tata-

Jharsuguda-Sambalpur.

Those rescheduled include: train Nos. 5639 Puri-Guwahati Kamakhya Express on December 7, train No. 8419 Puri-Darbhanga Express on December 9 and train No.

8449 Puri-Patna Baidyanathdham Express on December 6 will be rescheduled to leave Puri at 10 p.m. instead of original time of 2.05 p.m. Train No. 2819 Bhubaneswar-New Delhi Orissa Sampark Kranti Express on December 5 and December 8 will be re-scheduled to leave Bhubaneswar at 10 p.m. instead of its original time of 3.40 p.m. Those to be controlled: train No. 2802 New Delhi-Puri Purushottam Express will run on normal route i.e. via Gomoh-Bokaro Steel City-Purulia-Tata and on days it is running even marginally behind the schedule, it shall be controlled at Tata up to 5.00 a.m. of next day.
