Workshop begins

TIRUCHI: The Departments of Life Long Learning, Economics and Social Work in Bharathidasan University commenced a week-long UGC sponsored workshop on ‘Research Methodology and Statistical Analysis in Social Sciences for first year PG students, earlier this week.

According to K. Parthasarathy, Head, Department of Life Long Learning, the workshop will be helpful for writing UGC NET (National Eligibility Test) and SLET (State Eligibility Test) exams, undertake future research works, and write research articles, besides preparing themselves for research-based job opportunities. Sixty-five students are participating. Inaugurating the programme, P.M. Mansure, Syndicate Member and Principal, MIET College of Arts and Science, exhorted participants to utilise technology, to complete their research soon . . Head of the department of Economics S. Iyyampillai also addressed the students.
