Baden Powel posts win

. Mysore: Helped by some good batting by opener Rahul (47) and three-wickets each by Kaushik Ranganath (three for seven) and Nagarjun (three for 22), Baden Powel Public School registered a three-wicket win over host Demonstration Multipurpose School and entered the final in the Vivek Memorial inter-school cricket tournament here on Friday.

In the other semifinal, Mahabodhi School registered a 63-run win over St. Joseph's State School to set up a title clash with Baden Powel Public School.

The scores: semifinals: Demonstration Multipurpose School 113 for eight in 20 overs (Chidanand 49, Kaushik Ranganath three for seven, Nagarjun three for 22) lost to Baden Powel Public School 116 for seven in 19.2 overs (Rahul 47).

Mahabodhi School 133 for five in 20 overs (Sathako 52, Bodhi 36, Anhishek three for 25) bt St. Joseph's HS (State) 70 in 17 overs.
