Raj Krishna tops

BANGALORE: Raj Krishna, Arjun Ramraju and D. Chandrashekar all booked a slot in the national finals of the 16th Business Today-Honda Pro Am of Champions golf event at the Eagleton-The Golf Resort near here on Saturday.

Raj Krishna topped the 0-10 handicap category with 37 stableford points besting David D'Souza by a solitary point.

In the 11-18 handicap section Arjun Ramraju tallied 39 points also a solitary point winner over B.K Satish.

In the 19 to 24 handicap category Chandrashekar finished with 37 points, two points ahead of second placed V. Madhu and Sudheer K Swamy (35 points).

The quartet of K.S. Suresh, Mohan Shekhar, D. Chandrashekhar and M.G. Bhat with an aggregate of 108 points bagged the team honours while the team of Nannda Kishore, Vikram Limsay, Arjun Ramraju and V.P. Mahendra finished second with 103 points.

Zainab posts win

India's Zainab Ali Sajjad defeated seventh-seed Margarita Greta Skripnik of Isreal 6-4, 6-3 in the qualifiers of the QuestNet Open 2010 at the KSLTA Stadium here on Saturday.
