Yeddyurappa Government praised for progress on e-governance, Namma Metro ‘I am confident that the BJP Government will replicate the Bihar model of development' BANGALORE: Bharatiya Janata Party national president Nitin Gadkari accompanied Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa and a host of his Cabinet colleagues to inspect some development works in the city on Tuesday. Code of conduct The sites they visited include the Nayandahalli underpass, which was to have been inaugurated on Tuesday, the Vrishabhavati tertiary purification plant on Mysore Road and the Kommagatta Lake, which is under Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) jurisdiction. The approach road to railway underbridge along the Outer Ring Road and the park created on the underpass at Nayandahalli were to have been inaugurated by the Mr. Yeddyurappa in the presence of Mr. Gadkari. However, the function was postponed due to the election code of conduct in connection with the zilla panchayat polls. Mr. Gadkari went through a PowerPoint presentation at Krishna on the State Government's e-governance initiative and Namma Metro project. Mr. Gadkari, who spoke to reporters at the Vrishabavati tertiary purification plant, praised the Yeddyurappa Government for what he described as good governance, leading the State towards development. E-governance projects and Namma Metro had achieved good progress, the BJP national president added. Asked about the Opposition's charge of bad governance, the BJP leader said politicians should concentrate on development, and Bihar has proved this right. “I am confident that the BJP Government will replicate Bihar model,” he added. Among those present were Energy Minister Shobha Karandlaje, Industries Minister Murugesh Nirani, Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister S. Suresh Kumar, Medical Education Minister V.S. Acharya, former BJP State president Sadanand Gowda and Shimoga MP B.Y. Raghvendra.
