Traffic diversion for match tomorrow

CHENNAI: In view of the 5th ODI match between India and New Zealand at M. A. Chidambaram Stadium, Chepauk, the police have announced that the following traffic diversions would be in force on Friday from noon to 2.30 p.m. and 9.30 p.m. to 11 p.m.

According to a release, during the said time no vehicle would be permitted on Wallajah Road between Wallajah Road and Bells Road junction up to Canal Road, except MTC buses and vehicles with passes.

Canal Road would be made one-way with entry from Bharathi Salai and no entry from Wallajah Road.

Bells Road would be made one-way with entry from Wallajah Road and no entry from Bharathi Salai. Entry from side roads into Bells Road is prohibited. The flow of traffic on Bells Road would be reversed after the match gets over and vehicles allowed from the junction of Bharathi Salai.

The police have made parking arrangements for vehicles with passes at the following places: Victoria Hostel, Warden Hostel, TNCA car park, MCC car park, University parking, Chepauk station, Pattabiram gate, while vehicles without car passes could park on Foreshore Road.
