Badminton tourney ends

KAKINADA: Sai Praneeth, badminton player from Hyderabad, created a record by winning two trophies in the 35th Junior National Badminton Championship concluded at Dr.YSR International Indoor Stadium at Yanam on Friday.
Besides winning the trophy in singles (male) category, Mr. Praneeth also won the doubles (male) trophy along with H.S. Prannoy of Karnataka. The singles trophy in the female category was won by P.V. Sindhu of Andhra Pradesh and the doubles trophy was won by Gouri Ghate and Daya Jacob.
The mixed doubles trophy was won by S.R. Poorvisha and A. Naresh.
Puducherry Revenue and Sports Minister Malladi Krishna Rao and East Godavari district Collector M. Ravi Chandra presented trophies to the winners.
Vice-president of the All India Badminton Associatino Muralidharan, president of the East Godavari District Badminton Association Ch. Govinda Raju, president of the Yanam Sports and Games Authoirty Pendem Surya Prakahs and others were present.
