CHENNAI: Science City is inviting applications from women scientists of the State for the ‘Tamil Nadu Women Scientist Award 2010' and ‘Tamil Nadu Lifetime Achievement Award for Women Scientist 2010'.

Four women scientists, below 40 years, who have carried out exemplary work in agricultural, chemical, life sciences; physical, environmental sciences, including earth, atmosphere, ocean and planetary sciences, engineering and technology, mathematical, medical and veterinary sciences can apply, a release said.

The lifetime achievement award would be awarded to a woman scientist above 60 years. Applications can be had from the Science City, Periyar Science and Technology Centre Campus or from the site www.sciencecitychennai.in. The last date for submission nominations is December 30.
