Coimbatore: Inspector-General of Police – West Zone P. Sivanandi on Friday inaugurated a new kennel centre for the Coimbatore Rural Police at Sulur constructed at a cost of Rs. 14 lakh. Hitherto, the canine sleuths were housed in a facility at Podanur, from where they were taken when the need arose for police work in the region. DIG of Police – Coimbatore Range B. Bala Naga Devi, Superintendent of Police N. Kannan, DSP Muthazhagu and others took part.The new kennel will accommodate four sleuths namely Hero, Don, Bond and Vicky, according to police sources here.
