CHANDIGARH: The Haryana Government has prepared a litigation policy on the Central pattern and approved a proposal to set up 96 evening courts, Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda said on Saturday. Speaking at a function in Ellenabad where Justice Ranjan Gogoi of the Punjab & Haryana High Court inaugurated a judicial complex, Mr. Hooda said the facility of video-conferencing had been provided in 32 courts and 25 jails. Counselling and conciliation centres had also been set up in all districts. He said four evening courts had been set up at Faridabad, Gurgaon, Hisar and Karnal. “Gram Nyayalayas” were being set up in Rania and Shahabad while family courts had been set up in Gurgaon, Faridabad, Hisar and Bhiwani to settle family and marriage disputes. Also, 11 fast track courts were operational and the first mobile court of the country, which was started in Mewat district, was functioning well. Justice Ranjan Gogoi called upon the legal fraternity to increase the credibility of the judicial system as the people needed quick, timely and cheap justice.
