TRS to move privilege motion

HYDERABAD: The Telangana Rashtra Samiti is contemplating to move a privilege motion over the way the police handled its legislators during their protest in the House that continued till Friday night.
TRS Legislature Party leader E. Rajender and MLAs T. Harish Rao, K. Taraka Rama Rao and others alleged that senior police personnel in uniform entered the House to physically lift them out. Senior IPS officials Akun Sabharwal and others entered the House in violation of rules which mandate that only marshals designated by the Speaker be allowed inside.
“Police officials who entered the House were not even sporting the marshals' tag on their shoulder. They did not relent when we asked if they had any directive from the Chair,” Mr. Harish Rao said.
He said the TRSLP had addressed a letter to Legislature Secretary C. Rajasadaram seeking the list of marshals for the current session and the party would take appropriate course once the required information is received.
