Samir Suhag emerges the hero

NEW DELHI: Samir Suhag smashed eight goals to power Cavalry-USPA to a thrilling 8 goals to 7-1/2 victory over Sahgal-Jindal in the final of the Manjeet Bhullar Cavalry Gold Cup polo tournament at the Jaipur Polo ground here on Sunday.

Samir Suhag scored three goals in the fourth and last chukker to turn the table, after his team had trailed 5 goals to 6-1/2 at the end of the third chukker.

Simran Shergill (3), Gaurav Sahgal (3) and Abhimanyu Pathak scored the goals for Sahgal Jindal which had enjoyed a half-goal handicap advantage.

The Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, Dr. M.S. Gill, presented the prizes.
