Newly wed woman drowns in well
TIRUPATTUR: A 20-year-old woman, who was married on Sunday morning, died after she allegedly slipped and fell into a farm well located on a land belonging to her father on Sunday evening.
A case of unnatural death has been registered at the Kurusilpattu police station.
According to police, Nathiya, a resident of Sakarakuppam near Minnur married Devaraj of Devalapuram at Ambur on Sunday morning.
The couple had gone to Sakarakuppam in the afternoon.
Nathiya had gone to her father Kaaliappan's land to bring a cow at about 6 p.m.
While returning home, she had allegedly slipped and fell into a farm well, which was filled with water following rains.
