Maudany files bail petition

BANGALORE: Abdul Nasir Maudany, People's Democratic Party (PDP) leader, on Monday, filed a bail petition before the Karnataka High Court.

In his petition, Maudany alleged that the Bangalore police had filed an additional charge sheet accusing him of being involved in the conspiracy leading to the Bangalore serial blasts that killed a woman and injured 20 persons on July 25, 2008.

The case is now before a Metropolitan Magistrate in Bangalore. Maudany is the 31st accused. Maudany said his name was not there in the original charge sheet.
