BANGALORE: Host Karnataka began its campaign in the All India Postal volleyball tournament on a rousing note with two thumping wins. At the Sree Kanteerava stadium courts here on Monday, Karnataka Circle, with new recruits Deepak Shetty, Pawan and Janardhan combining well with seniors Laxminarayan and Sarvanan, downed West Bengal 25-14, 25-20, 25-21 in the tournament opener in the morning and then came back in the evening session to humble Orissa 25-4, 25-9, 25-16. Defending champions Gujarat posted a 25-13, 23-25, 25-14, 25-19 win over Kerala.
