Taking up the brush against the menace of Endosulfan

Kozhikode: The Kerala Catholic Youth Movement (KCYM), Thamarassery diocese, in association with the Public Relations Department, organised a mass painting campaign against Endosulfan at Mananchira Square here on Tuesday. Artist Francis Kodankandath inaugurated the campaign. Vicar-General of the Thamarassery diocese Fr. Thomas Nagaparambil delivered the keynote address. KCYM's Thamarassery diocese president Justin Tharappel presided. ‘Youth for the protection of life' was the main theme of the campaign. Nearly 200 artists, including K.A. Sebastian, Paul Kallanode, K.A. Roy, Sudeep, K.C. Mahesh, Sunil Ashokapuram and Baby Gopal, participated. Students from Universal Academy, Savio School, Providence College, Devagiri College, CMI Public School, Toonz Academy, Auxilium Nava Jyothi School, Sacred Heart Congregation, Alphonsa Seminary, Holy Cross College and Presentation School participated, a release said.
