TAPMI bags award for excellence

Manipal: The T.A. Pai Management Institute (TAPMI), one of the leading B-schools in the country, has won the Indus Foundation Award for Educational Excellence in Hyderabad recently.
A release issued by the institute here on Tuesday said TAPMI competed with 140 other institutes in the management category, including some top management schools to bag the award.
Union Minister of State for Human Resource Development D. Purandeswari presented the award at the valedictory of the three-day “Indo-Global Education Summit” held in Hyderabad on December 5.
Director of TAPMI Saji Gopinath said the award came in recognition of the quality management education provided by the institute.
“With best of the faculty, 70 per cent being Ph. D holders in their respective fields, TAPMI stresses on rigorous learning not just through classroom teaching but through simulation games, internships (management in practice) and regular industry interaction,” said Mr. Gopinath. The Indo-Global Education Summit was organised by Indus Foundation, a New Jersey based not-for-profit organisation for promotion of higher education.
