OU students' future in jeopardy
Special Correspondent
HYDERABAD: Osmania University authorities have cautioned students that if the semester exams, scheduled to be held from December 18, are postponed again there is a chance of students losing this semester and the academic year going haywire.
Repeated postponement of exams has made the present academic schedule so tight that there is no chance for any extension as is being demanded by a section of the students.
These exams were supposed to start from December 8 but were postponed as students requested more time for preparation as they were busy with practicals and project works.
The Osmania University Students Joint Action Committee (OUJAC) staged a dharna at the Vice-Chancellor's office on Wednesday demanding postponement of examinations. Students, however, could not contact Vice-Chancellor T. Tirupati Rao who is expected to be back from Jaipur on Thursday morning.
