CHENNAI: A total of 884 beneficiaries in Chennai district on Wednesday received certificates of government welfare schemes. Distributing the certificates at a function, Deputy Chief Minister M.K. Stalin said the total number of beneficiaries has touched 2.41 lakh in Chennai. A total of 845 beneficiaries of the monthly pension scheme certificate would receive Rs.400 each per month. Five persons with disability received sewing machines at a cost of Rs.18,475. Mayor M. Subramanian was present.
