dated December 17, 1960: Transport by road

Rajkumari Amrit Kaur, President of the All-India Motor Unions Congress, said in Indore on December 16 that while there was enough scope both for road transport and for the railway to develop and grow in our country, there was little wisdom in nationalising the existing bus routes in different States. Whole-sale nationalisation was “the hall mark of the totalitarian State,” she added.
