dated December 17, 1960: Andhra Pradesh Cabinet

Mr. D. Sanjivayya, Chief Minister, has addressed a letter to the Congress High Command seeking their permission to expand the Andhra Pradesh Cabinet by four. This was disclosed by Mr. Pallam Raju, President of the Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee, at a Press Conference on December 16. Mr. Pallam Raju, who is the Minister for Forests and Animal Husbandry, said that he had given his resignation to the Chief Minister on December 4 itself. He had been asked to continue till his resignation was accepted in due course. Mr. Pallam Raju said that with the acceptance of his resignation and the addition of four new Ministers, the strength of the Cabinet would be 16.
