Guntur: The last date for submitting papers to the 55th All India English Teachers' Conference to be hosted by JKC College from January 10 to 12, 2011, has been extended till December 20 following requests by delegates, said N. Nageswara Rao, local secretary of the conference.

Further details are available at the brochure which can be accessed at www.jkcc.ac.in.

For more details, delegates can make a call to 9849038376 or 9848051691.

Elaborating on the theme of the conference, Dr. Rao said that the reconstruction of the translation process has shed some light on some of the linguistic and cultural issues that might be encountered in literary translation and Indian vernacular languages.

The thrust area of the conference is “Indian Literature in English Translation”, where emphasis would be on good translation.
