Mining : Delivering any quantity of size in a specific stone variety is a pedestrian activity at PRP as the company is well supported by its right and abundant quarry resource that consists of sufficient block deposits. The company owns and operates over one hundred world class quarries wherein the annual extraction of block exceeds world class quarries wherein the annual extraction of block exceeds over 1, 00, 000 CBM. The ‘Keelavalavu' quarry, one of the largest and oldest mining operations of the company, produces the PRP's popular colours viz. Madura Gold, Ivory Fantasy and Kashmir White, Golden Oak, Incas Gold.

Mining is done as per internationally approved methods to prevent damage to the granite blocks at every stage of manufacture.

Automatic drilling machines drill the rock, and then they are cut with Wire saw Machines and subsequently separated using cranes and escavators. Blocks thus separated are sent to the factory for slab processing.

Factory Process – Slab plant:

While the quarries take care of the entire supply of blocks, the Company has an Ultra Modern world class Mega Manufacturing process Plant near Madurai, which is at par with any top International Facility. This Plant is conveniently located near extensive granite deposits.

Right from Wire Sawing and chipping down the four corners of the rough block and carrying them for Gang Saw Cutting using a special trolly to make them into measured slices and subsequently moving them to the Resin Line Grinding and pasting, the dictum of maximum capacity utilization within the stipulated time with minimal wastage to increase production is followed to the letter.

The calibrating line imported from Italy for calibrating the slabs for uniform thickness throughout the entire surface gives a smooth and pleasant feel when touched. A Final polishing is done on the top surface of the granites for an exquisite touch and feel.

P.R.P. Exports, is best known for offering a variety of colours, high class – mirror finish slabs & tiles and polished cut to size slabs that require little or no maintenance at all.

The company is capable of meeting any demand for surface finish like flamed, flamed & brushed, honed, antique finish, bush hammered and much more.

State-of-the art technology combined with highly qualified technical expertise allows P.R.P. to execute and deliver slabs, tiles and articles of granite as per customer's needs and requirement. The State of the art Italian technology and consumables used have directly reduced manpower on operations.

The Plant : PRP's Tile plant is equipped with four 56 blade block cutters, two double edge cutting machines, two tile calibrating machines, two automated resin line, two 20 head polishing lines and two 12 spindle multi cross cutting machines, all aligned to deliver the best of the World Tiles.

The blocks are cut with specially designed Block cutter machines and sent for calibration to ensure dimensional stability, precision and uniformity in thickness. After levelling and resining, the tiles are taken for a final tile polishing.

The polished tiles undergo the multi cutting process and the Chamfering is carried out. Gauging and beveling processes ensure that the tiles are of fine finish with smooth edges.

Monuments : PRP has installed the most sophisticated manufacturing technology that includes Advanced Stone Processing Equipment, Automated CNC Machines and Consumables from Italy. Also, PRP is the only Granite Company which uses ‘WATER JET CUTTING MACHINES' which helps to deliver granite made products in any shape or design as required. Innovative cutting processes ensure a lifetime guarantee on quality.

Inspection and Packing : Stringent Inspection is followed at PRP Exports to ensure safety norms and proper delivery codes are marked against each customer's products. Automated packing is carried out for finished slabs, tiles and monuments following all guidelines and export safety norms and subsequently trucked for container shipping. The company ships around 450 container trucks every month.
