New projects to speed up development of Badli

‘Initiatives are being taken to develop both urban, rural areas


‘A new political culture to provide a progressive and honest governance'


CHANDIGARH: Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Friday announced several projects to further accelerate the pace of development at Badli in Jhajjar district.

He also laid the foundation stones for four-laning of the Jhajjar-Badli road, a new Badli by-pass and also the new building of the Government College, Badli.

Addressing a public meeting, he announced plans to set up 132-KV sub-stations at Machhrauli and Badli, a teacher training institute in Silani village, a Kisan Model School in Subana village, upgradation of a health sub-centre to the level of a community health centre at Badli, a vocational institute at Majri and initiation of Science and Commerce courses at Government College and Government Senior Secondary School, Badli.

He also announced plans to set up new water works at Machhrauli and Dadri Toye and said that availability of drinking water would be increased in Jhajjar City and water courses would be levelled in such a manner that they irrigate the tail ends.

Achievements

Highlighting the achievements of his regime, he reiterated that initiatives were being taken to develop both urban and rural areas.

Member of Parliament from Rohtak Deepender Hooda while criticising the previous Indian National Lok Dal Government for “not carrying out any development in the State in general and the region in particular'' asserted that the regime headed by his father had “initiated a new political culture to provide a progressive and honest governance''.

Independent candidate

Vijender Chahar, who had contested from Badli as an independent candidate, joined the Congress at the rally.

Those present included working president of Haryana Congress unit Kuldeep Sharma, PWD Minister Randeep Singh Surjewala, Education Minister Geeta Bhukkal, Chief Minister's Media Adviser Sunderpal Singh and Additional Media Adviser Sunil Parti.
