Tahir Ali in two finals

MUMBAI: Tahir Ali (Maharashtra) lined himself up for two titles, advancing to the 55+ singles and doubles finals at the Khar Gymkhana all-India ranking veterans' tennis tournament 2010.

The results (semifinals):

45+: Uttam Mane (Mah) bt Sunil Kukreja (Mah) 7-6 (6), 6-3; Manoj Chandiramani (Mah) bt Suresh Rangarajan (Mah) 6-1, 6-4.

55+: Tahir Ali (Mah) bt P.K. Patnaik (Orissa) 6-2, 6-2; M.R. Ramesh bt Anup Dey (Mah) 6-1, 6-0.

Doubles: Tahir Ali / K. Shroff (Mah) bt Moti Shewakramani / Tolu Devnani (Mah) 6-1, 4-6, 10-2; P.R. Raju / C.R. Gangadharan bt Thakurdas Jagwani / Subhash Mukerji 6-1, 7-5.

65+: K.C. Sharma (Del) bt Anthony Manjaly 6-1, 6-0; Shyam Bhagat (Mah) bt Subhash Trilokekar (Mah) 6-1, 6-4.
