Vehicle fined in November

Mysore: The maxi-cab (KA-09 4622) that was involved in an accident that claimed 31 lives was penalised by the RTO in November for carrying passengers beyond its capacity. Despite a warning, the maxi-cab was carrying 37 people, when the accident occurred killing 31 people.

Regional Transport Officer (West) Siddappa Kallera said that the maxi-cab had a fitness certificate and insurance. It was registered in Mysore and its owner is from Palahalli in Mandya district.
