Four fasting students shifted to OGH
Staff Reporter
HYDERABAD: Four students of Osmania University, who were on fast unto death for the past three days in Cherlapally central prison, were shifted to the Osmania General Hospital on Saturday as their health deteriorated.
Naveen, Venkat, Ramesh and Jagan were fasting since Thursday morning. They started vomiting and fell sick by Saturday afternoon prompting the prison authorities to shift them to the OGH. Four more OUJAC leaders, arrested along with them in cases of violence during pro-Telangana agitation, are still fasting in the prison, the Cherlapally superintendent, Jayawardhan, said. Several pro-Telangana activists and leaders went to the prison to find out their condition earlier in the day.
