Shyam wins

MUMBAI: Maharashtra's Shyam Bhagat stunned top-seeded K.C. Sharma of Delhi to regain the 65-plus singles title at the Khar Gymkhana all-India ranking veterans' tennis tournament 2010 on Saturday.

The results: 65+: final: Shyam Bhagat (Mah) bt K.C. Sharma (Del) 6-2, 7-6(7). Doubles: K.C. Sharma & Chenni Natarajan bt Shyam Bhagat & Subhash Trilokekar 1-6, 6-1, 10-7.

55+ Doubles: final: Tahir Ali & K. Shroff (Mah) bt P.R Raju & C.R Gangadharan 4-6, 6-0, 12-10.

45+ semifinals: Naresh Khatri & A.S. Chadha bt Haresh Ahuja/Mayank Dwivedi 6-2, 7-5 .
