Sudip anchors Bengal innings with a superb century

KOLKATA: Captain Sudip Chatterjee anchored the Bengal first innings with a superb 141 to help his team reach 438 against Madhy Pradesh on the second day of the four-day Cooch Behar Trophy elite group ‘B' league match at the Kalyani Stadium in Kalyani on Sunday.

At close, MP lost its opener Vikrant Verma (31) to be at 88 for one.

Vihari hits hundred

Century by captain G.H. Vihari (114, 142b, 17x4) helped Hyderabad score 363 for nine in reply to Haryana's 151 in the first innings on the second day in Hyderabad on Sunday. For Haryana, Siddarth Dhankar (five for 87) bowled well.

Kerala makes 336

At Thalassery, Host Kerala made 336 against Vidarabha in its first innings on Sunday. In reply, Vidarbha was 114 for one at stumps on day two.

Vamsi Krishna sparkles

T. Vamsi Krishna's 81 helped Andhra post 269 against Assam at Nagaon on Sunday. Assam, trailing by 117 runs, was 26 for no loss in its second innings at close.
