State-ranking badminton
BANGALORE: The Bowring Institute will host the Advaith Hyundai Five Star prize-money state-ranking badminton tournament for juniors from December 22 to 25.
Speaking at the press conference on Tuesday Chief referee Suresh said that despite exams and Christmas holidays a record 398 entries have been received and nearly 598 matches would have to be gone through in four days.”
The boys' events in all the four sections — under-10, u-13, u-16 and u-19 will be held at the KBA courts till the quarterfinal stage (December 24) with the semifinals and finals to be held at the Bowring Institute premises.
However, the girls' events will be played at the Institute courts itself. The event carries a total prize money of Rs. 1.25 lakh.
