Woman kills son, ends life

Bangalore: Shivagami (22) allegedly killed her nine-month-old son, Dhanush, by hanging him with a rope and later hung herself using the same rope at her residence in Someshwaranagar slum in Madivala police limits on Tuesday.

Shivagami was the second wife of Chandrashekar, an employee of a private company. She married Chandrashekar two years ago and was staying with him and his first wife Kuppu, the police said. They all are natives of Villupuram district in Tamil Nadu.

Chandrashekar and Kuppu were away along with their two sons when the incident occurred, the police added.
