VISAKHAPATNAM: West Zone scored an emphatic 120-run win over South Zone in the last day's league match to claim the runner-up spot in BCCI's inter-zone women tournament at the ACA-VDCA stadium here on Wednesday. Central Zone retained the title at the end of penultimate round on Monday itself with an all-win record. The scores: West Zone 206 for five in 50 overs (Puna Raut 73, Shweta Jadhav 69) bt South Zone 86 in 41.5 overs (Nancy Darawala three for 14). West Zone 5 points, South Zone minus one point. East Zone 148 in 49.1 overs (Ananya Mitra 38, Neetu Singh 32, Harmanpreet Kaur three for 26) lost to North Zone 149 for three in 42.3 overs (Latika Kumari 69 n.o., Shilpa Gupta 31). North Zone 4, East Zone 0 .
