Cold wave unabated in north

NEW DELHI: Cold wave continued to sweep through most parts of north India on Wednesday, with the mercury dipping down to 5 degrees Celsius in parts of Punjab and Haryana. The night temperature rose by a few notches in Jammu and Kashmir. The minimum temperatures hovered between one and five degrees Celsius below normal in Punjab and Haryana where fog reduced visibility. Narnaul was the coldest place in Haryana, recording 1.5 degree Celsius, five notches below normal. Hisar and Ambala recorded 2.6 and 3.3 degrees Celsius. — PTI
