Two killed in accidents
TAMBARAM: A constable and a college professor were killed in separate accidents on GST Road in Meenambakkam on Wednesday. Srinivasa Rao (40), a constable of CISF posted at the airport, was a resident of Nanganallur.
On Wednesday, he was riding a motorcycle to his workplace. He took a right turn from GST Road to enter the airport through the VIP Gate, when he was hit by a private bus. He was taken to a private hospital in Guindy, where he succumbed to the injuries. Around noon, Gopalakrishna Kurup (62), a professor of English at Vel's University, Pallavaram, died on the spot when the car he was driving rammed into the median of GST Road.
