Relief for part-time lecturers

Lucknow: The Allahabad High Court on Thursday held that all part-time lecturers of degree colleges in Uttar Pradesh are entitled to get minimum pay-scale admissible to regular teachers.

A Lucknow Division Bench comprising Justices Devi Prasad Singh and Ved Pal passed the judgment on a writ petition filed by 179 part-time lecturers for regularisation of their services and salary.

The court also directed the State Government to consider regularisation of their services. -- PTI
