CHANDIGARH: The Haryana Housing Board is developing housing colonies in rural areas on the pattern of urban sectors and 284 acres of land has been identified in various villages for this purpose, Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda said on Friday. Presiding over a review meeting here, he directed the Board to frame a policy so that affordable housing facility could be provided to serving as well as retired State Government employees including employees of Boards and Corporations. He also directed the Housing Board to reduce the EMI for BPL families, adding that a minimum rate of interest should be charged from them for housing facilities.
