Prasad to lead

VISAKHAPATNAM: G.V.S. Prasad will lead North Zone in Andhra Cricket Association's under-25 inter-zone (one-day) tournament to be played at Venkatagiri from January 7 to 9.

SZ inter-varsity tennis

Nearly 500 players from 50 universities will participate in the South Zone inter-university tennis tournament for men, to be held at the K. Sudarshana Rao Andhra University Tennis Complex in Visakhapatnam from December 27 to 31.

The knock-out tournament would be conducted under supervision of AITA.

Local Ashore triumphs

Local Ashore won the Eastern Naval Command hockey tournament, beating Submarines 1-0 in the final at Visakhapatnam on Friday.

Commanding Officer of INS Jalashwa Alok Bhatnagar gave away the trophies.
