Tame Amla or go down 2-0: Smith
Johannesburg: South African captain Graeme Smith warned the visiting Indian team to find a way to tame Hashim Amla or forget the chance of levelling the three-Test series in the second game starting in Durban on Sunday.
“It's going to be a huge moment for Hashim to play in his 50th Test, but I know it will not unnerve him,” Smith told the Afrikaans daily Beeld here on Thursday.
“His discipline and ability to stay calm under pressure is exactly what makes him such a fantastic player,” said Smith.
Smith also added that Amla was by far the best batsman in the world in 2010 in all forms of the game. “I believe (Amla) will end his dream year with a bang.” — PTI
